Lily Impressions Sympathy Card

Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a flip front sympathy card using the beautiful Lily Impressions designer series paper which is a free product during Saleabration.  Initial inspiration for this card fold from Lynn Dunn on YouTube.

Materials

1 piece of pretty peacock card stock 8 1/4" x 5 7/8" for the base
1 piece of whisper white card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" for the inside
Scraps of pretty peacock and whisper white for the rectangles
Stitched so sweetly dies
Die cutting machine
Strip of pretty peacock 1" x 5" to make the hinge
1 piece of designer series paper 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
Pretty peacock ink
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

The stamp set that I have used is Lasting Lily which has now retired but any appropriate stamp set will do.

Instructions

Fold and burnish the card base in half  and adhere the designer series paper to the front.

Fold and burnish the 1" strip at 2 1/2" and add adhesive to the back of one half of it so that it will adhere to the inside of the card and fold around on to the front.

Stamp a message on the whisper white layer and adhere over the strip so that it can't be seen when you open the card.

Die cut the rectangles, the larger one from pretty peacock, the smaller from whisper white.

Stamp a sentiment on the whisper white and add to the pretty peacock layer with dimensionals.

Add glue to the strip which is folded over the front and lay the sentiment layer on this so that it is central on the card (see picture). Make sure you only add glue to the strip that will be hidden by the sentiment layer.

A quick and easy sympathy card but could just as easily be made with brighter colours and different sentiments for any occasion.  I hope that you like it.
