Lily Impressions Gift Bag

Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a gift bag using the lovely Lily Impressions designer series paper, it's 8"wide  x 3"  deep x 7 1/2" high, so will hold something quite big as long as it's not too heavy.

Materials

2 pieces of 12" x 12" designer series paper
Tear and tape/strong glue
1 piece of whisper white 4" x 2" for the tag and scraps of  lovely lipstick and gorgeous grape card stock
Gorgeous grape ink
Lovely lipstick ink
Well Written dies
Die cutting machine
Thoughtful blooms stamp set
Flat back pearls (my stash)
Silver edged white ribbon
Lovely lipstick ruched ribbon (my stash)
Dimensionals
Multipurpose adhesive
Small blooms punch
Hole punch
Delightful Tag topper punch
Detailed Trio punch

Instructions

On each piece of 12 x 12, score at 3" and 11" and then turn 90 degrees and score at 3", turn back and score at 1 1/2" down to about 6".

Fold and burnish all the score lines.

Remove the skinny rectangle from the side edge on both pieces and then cut up each score line from the bottom up to the horizontal score line.  Notch both sides of each of the tabs.

Add red line tape/strong glue to the outside of the long thin tab at the side of one piece and adhere the two pieces together by laying the wider side piece over the tab piece. Add red line tape/strong glue to the other thin tab and then fold over and secure the sides of the bag together making sure to match up the horizontal score line so that the top will be level.

Turn the bag upside down and then fold in the two side tabs, then then back flap and adding red line tape/strong glue to the inside of the front flap, secure them together to make the base of the bag.

Pinch the sides of the bag together and then punch two holes at the top of the bag for the ribbon to go through.  I have used two different ribbons and just threaded them through together to make a double bow.

Make the strip of whisper white into a tag with the punch and then round off the bottom two corners. Stamp two lovely lipstick flowers and four gorgeous grape flowers and punch them all out. I have twisted each petal with my tweezers to give them a bit of life and then glued two together to make a flower.  Add a pearl or a rhinestone to the centre of each one.  Stamp the leaf flourish on the tag and then add some of the tiny flowers.  Arrange the flowers in amongst the flourish with dimensionals.  Die cut the word 'friend' from the Well Written dies in lovely lipstick and add to the tag.  Thread another small piece of pink ribbon through the tag and add it to the box on the front of the bag.

I've made this bag for a very special friend and I hope that she likes it.
