Share it on a Sunday - 3D 6 x 6 Treat Bag

Hi Everyone,

For today's challenge Donna and Victoria and I are making a 3D project using a sheet of 6 x 6 designer series paper. I'm making a cute little treat bag which is made up of just folds, there are no cuts to this bag.  It can be stored flat until you need it, so it's great for craft fairs and wedding favours that you may be making in bulk.  My original inspiration came from a YouTube video by Crafty Caroline Creates.  I hope you like this and will give it a try.

Materials

1 6 x 6 piece of designer series paper
Simply scored scoreboard
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive

Instructions

Score on one side at 1 1/2" and 4 1/2" and then turn 90 degrees and score at 2 1/2" and 3 1/2".  Fold and burnish all the score lines.

Fold the two 1 1/2" sides in to meet in the middle.

Put your finger at the point where the horizontal score now meets the folded edge and pull the other edge back so that the horizontal score line meets with the fold line (see picture).
Flip the paper round and repeat this process at the other end of that side, then complete the two on the other side.  This will then give you a box on the inside (see picture).

Now fold back flat and add adhesive to the points shown in the picture and press firmly until they are stuck.  If you are keeping them to use later, you can store them flat like this.

There are many ways to decorate and fasten the bag depending on the occasion that you need it for. I haven't listed the stamp sets that I have used or the ink colours, I've just used a variety of small sentiments from different sets, it will depend on the occasion you are making them for.  Some of the paper I have used int he samples is also retired.

See the picture below for a couple more suggestions.
