3 Colour Challenge - Get Well Daisy Card

Hi Everyone,

This colour challenge had me a bit stumped to be honest but I had to come up with something and here it is.  The colours were: Daffodil Delight, Shaded Spruce and Early Espresso, not three that immediately spoke to me. But, then I thought about flowers and tried tulips but I didn't like those and I tried some background stamping and didn't like that but I persevered and decided on daisies - who doesn't love a daisy?

Materials

1 5" x 7" card base (I've used a bought pre-scored one from my stash)
1 piece of early espresso card stock 4 1/2" x 6 1/2"
1 piece of daffodil delight card stock 4 1/4" x 6 1/4"
1 piece white card stock 4" x 6"
Scraps of all the colours to make the flowers and the sentiment layers
Piece of daffodil delight ruched ribbon (although you can't see mine now but I changed my mind about the arrangement on the flowers after I had put the ribbon on)
Stitched so Sweetly dies
Die cutting machine
Timeless Tulips stamp set
Daisy Lane stamp set
Medium daisy punch
1/2" circle punch
Shaded spruce ink
Daffodil delight ink
Dimensionals
Multipurpose adhesive

Instructions

Background stamp the white layer with the fern leaf in shaded spruce (I have stamped off first to make it paler).

Stamp 12 daisies on daffodil delight card and then punch them out with the medium daisy punch. Punch out 6 1/2" circles for the flower middles. Layer the daisies together in twos and add the middles and add a dimensional to the back of each flower.

Die cut the two layers for the sentiment and stamp the sentiment in shaded spruce on the white layer.  Adhere the two together.

Add the early espresso mat on to the card base, then adhere the stamped layer to the daffodil delight layer and add the ribbon around the centre if you are using it.  Then adhere this layer to the top of the early espresso.  Arrange the sentiment in the centre of the card with dimensionals and then arrange the flowers around it in whatever pattern you like.

You could also decorate the inside of the card with the leaf or daisy stamps but I have left mine blank.

Give it a try, pick some random colours, get out of your comfort zone and see what happens, it can be great fun and if it doesn't work, it's only paper, stamps and ink, plenty more in your craft stash!!
