Perennial Essence Shopping Pad Folder

Hi Everyone,

Today I am making things to go on my craft fair stall so I am making a new supply of shopping pad folders.  These are refillable and can be covered in any colour card stock and decorated in lots of ways, the combinations are endless.  I make them all year round and at Christmas, I cover them in Christmas paper for using to make those endless Christmas lists.  I hope you like them and will give them a try.

Materials

1 piece of card stock 7 1/2" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of card stock 3 3/8" x 5"
2 pieces of designer series paper 3 3/8" x 8 1/8"
1 piece of designer series paper 3 1/16" x 9 1/4" (to cover pad, this is optional)
1 standard shopping pad (I've used some from Amazon and they measure 3" x 8 1/4")
A piece of ribbon approx 20"
Scraps of card stock for sentiments and embellishment
Multipurpose adhesive
Narrow tear tape/red line tape
Pen with a clip
Starburst punch
2" circle punch
Detailed trio punch (corner rounder)

Instructions

Round off the corners of the largest piece of card stock and then score on the short side at 3 1/2" then turn around and score at 3 1/2" on the other side, both score lines will be in the centre of the card which gives you the spine of the folder.

Adhere the smaller piece of card stock to the inside of the folder on the right hand side to make a pocket, I have used very narrow tape but it needs to be strong, this is where you will slide the pad in and out.

Adhere a piece of tear tape/red line tape across the full width of the outside of the folder and then stick the ribbon to that as shown in the picture.

Round the two corners of the dsp that are closest to the opening edge and adhere.

Slide the pad inside the pocket (you may have to trim off a couple of inches of the backing board and mitre the edges to make it easier to slide in and out ), tie the ribbon in a bow or a knot at the side opening.

Optional - to cover the pad lay the pad face down on the wrong side of the dsp and then fold the excess over the top of the pad and adhere with some strong tape.

Stamp your sentiment on some scrap and punch out to decorate the front.

There you are, quick and easy item to make for friends, co-workers, craft fairs etc.

Happy crafting,

Karen XX
