Woven Threads Scrapbuster Card

Hi Everyone,

Today I am making a quick card using scraps of Woven Threads designer series paper and a silver doily which picks up the design in the pretty peacock paper.

Materials

1 piece of whisper white card stock 8 1/4" x 5 7/8" scored in the middle at 4 1/8" to make a landscape card base
1 piece of pretty peacock card stock 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
3 pieces of pretty peacock woven threads dsp 1" x 5 5/8"
1 silver doily (retired, but you could just as easily use one of the pearlised ones in the current catalogue)
1 2" circle in whisper white
Pretty peacock ink
Daisy Lane stamp set
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

Fold and burnish the whisper white card base.

Adhere the strips of dsp to the pretty peacock layer with the top one starting 1/4" from the top and the bottom one starting 1/4" from the bottom, arrange the third one in between the other two leaving an even gap between the layers.

Stamp a sentiment on the inside of the card and decorate if you want to. Stamp the sentiment to the centre of the 2" circle.

Adhere the mat layer to the card front leaving a small border all around.

Adhere the doily to the left hand side of the card front and pop the sentiment up on dimensionals and add to the centre of the doily. I've also added a few of the in colour faceted gems but you could also add rhinestones or leave it plain, it's up to you.

This is a quick and simple card but looks really effective.  You could change this up and use any designer series paper of your choice. I hope that you will give it a try.

Happy crafting,

Karen XX
