Cute Turtle Corner Tuck Fold Card - Fun Fold Friday

 Hi Everyone,

This week I thought I would make a Corner Tuck Fold Card, I've not made one for a long time. I bought the Like an Animal designer series paper but have been struggling to think of something to make with it. I know the one I have chosen is not turtle shell but if you squint a bit it's similar (in my wonky eyes anyway haha!) and I've teamed it up with the very cute turtle from the Playing in the Rain set.

Materials

1 piece of crumb cake card stock 4 1/4" x 8 1/4", 1 piece 3" x 3", 1 piece 2 3/4" x 2 3/4", scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of dsp 4" x 5 1/2", 2 pieces 2 1/4" x 4"
1 piece of basic white card stock 2 1/2" x 4", 1 piece 2 5/8" x 2 5/8", scrap for the sentiment
Scrap of Rain or Shine dsp for the turtle
Playing in the Rain stamp set
Raindrops Embossing Folder
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Early Espresso ink
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose Adhesive
Dimensionals
Paper Snips

Instructions

On the long side score the crumb cake card at 5 3/4" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Add the dsp mats to all 3 sections.

Cut the 3" x 3" piece of crumb cake in half diagonally and run that and the 2 5/8" piece of basic white through the machine in the Raindrops Embossing Folder, make sure your raindrops are the right way round (ask me how I know!!).

Add dimensionals to the diagonal piece and add to the top right hand corner of the card so that it is completely lined up with the bottom of the card along the two sides. Keep the dimensionals to the outer edges, you need to be able to tuck the front under here.

Adhere the larger piece of white to the inside of the card, move it closer to the score line and make sure that when you add the square on to the card front, that you can't see the white underneath.

Now adhere the crumb cake square to the front flap, only put adhesive on about 1" to the left and adhere this in place so that it sits centrally on the card and the top corner will go underneath the corner piece to tuck in.

Adhere the embossed piece to that and then fussy cut one of the smaller turtles from the dsp and add using dimensionals to the left hand side of the embossed piece.

Stamp a sentiment on the scrap of white and then layer up on a scrap of crumb cake. Add this to the bottom corner of the square with a couple of dimensionals.

I love how this has turned out, why don't you give this easy Fun Fold a go?
