Penguin Place - Christmas in July - Ink stamp Share Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

I am hopping with the Ink Stamp Share Group and the theme is 'Christmas in July'. I know! Christmas cards already! But, there is nothing worse than scrabbling around in December to get them done and in the post, so make an early start I say!  The new catalogue is launching soon (August 3rd) and this little cutie jumped right off the page at me, isn't be adorable? (and there is matching dsp in the Saleabration brochure which you can get FREE with a qualifying order - just saying!).

Instructions

On the long side score the real red card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the dsp to one of the white mats and wrap the ribbon in both directions to make it look like a parcel, fix on the back with some sticky tape.  Adhere this layer to the card front.

Stamp the penguin in the centre of the smaller white card and add the hat and bow tie in real red. I've used pumpkin pie for the beak and feet. Stamp some trees in shaded spruce and the parcel in pacific point. Using the pool party blends scribble a line underneath the penguin, parcel and trees to ground them. Then stamp the stars all around the image in daffodil delight.  Adhere this layer to the remaining real red card and fix to the card front, over the ribbon with dimensionals.

Stamp a sentiment and decorate the remaining white card and adhere to the inside of the card.

I do hope that you like my card and will give it a try. Please click on the links below to see what my very talented friends have made this month, you are sure to be inspired.
