Hi Everyone,
I'm playing with designer series papers to follow a sketch. Using a sketch is a great way to get some inspiration and to use up scraps of card and dsp. As you will see, you don't have to follow it exactly, it's a starting point. In one I have used all the elements but in the other I have left off the sentiment layer and stamped on the dsp instead.
In the Bloom Where You Are Planted version, I have made the card landscape and tried to make it look like a wooden planter with lots of exotic foliage planted in it, I've used a single row of the brick paper to cover the join in the papers and look like the top of the planter. I've stamped on the dsp using the All Squared Away stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink. On the inside I have used a strip of the foliage dsp to decorate it.
In the Simply Elegant version, I have made the card portrait and used a strip of real red to cover the join between the two papers. This time I have added the sentiment layer and stamped in real red ink using the All Squared Away stamp set and I have decorated the inside too.
This is the sketch that I followed
I'm offering a chance
to get a Christmas paper share with lots of Christmas themed
dsp, coloured card stock, speciality papers, ribbon and embellishments. Maybe
you don't want to buy full packs of supplies, here's your chance to get
everything you will need to make your cards this year. I will also
provide you with an EXCLUSIVE FREE PDF TUTORIAL for 6
different cards.
I need to get groups of four people in order to be able to offer this so if you are interested please let me know. As soon as I have a group of four and receive payments, I will order the supplies and post them off to you (UK only I'm afraid).
If you are interested in taking part in some challenges and having crafty chats with like minded people and a bit of a laugh, pop over to Craft and Banter on Facebook (link in the side bar), we would love your company.
Two beautiful cards x
