Today I am making a pop out gatefold card which was inspired again by the lovely Sam from Mixed Up Craft. I've used the beautiful pressed petals designer series paper again, I absolutely love it and mixed it with merry merlot and rococco rose card stock. I hope that you like it.
Materials
1 x 6" x 12" card stock for the base (rococco rose)
4 x 2 7/8" x 5 7/8", 4 x 2 x 5 7/8", 1 x 1 3/8" x 5 7/8" in contrasting card stock (merry merlot)
2 x 1 7/8" x 5 5/8" very vanilla card stock to write messages on the reverse of the card
1 x 1 1/2" x 12" rococco rose card stock for the belly band
1 x 3 1/4" square merry merlot for the sentiment layer
1 x 3" square very vanilla for stamping sentiment for the front
scrap of very vanilla for the inside sentiment
Scrap of rococco rose for the inside sentiment mat
4 x 2 5/8" x 5 5/8" designer series paper
2 x 1 7/8" x 5 5/8" designer series paper
1 x 1 1/8" x 5 5/8" designer series paper
2 small scraps designer series paper for the sides of the belly band
Floral essence stamp set
Merry merlot ink
Multipurpose adhesive
Red line tape
Trimmer
Scoreboard
Instructions
Score the card base piece on the long side at 5 1/4" and 6 3/4", then flip over and score at 3" and 9".
Adhere all the designer series paper layers to the card stock mats and then adhere them to the card base.
Stamp the sentiment to the very vanilla layer for the inside, mount it on contrasting card stock and glue the centre section only to the centre panel of the card so that it overhangs it on both sides. Stamp the sentiment to the outside square layer and mount on the contrasting card stock.
Wrap the belly band piece loosely around the card, don't score it, add the outer sentiment mat to the centre of the belly band and adhere in place with red line tape (or similar).
Slide the completed belly band over the card and its finished.
I hope that you like this card and will give it a try.
Happy crafting,
Karen XX
