Wrapped in Plaid Cracker Card

Hi Everyone,

Today I want to show you this cute Cracker Card that I have made using shaded spruce card stock and the fabulous Wrapped in Plaid designer series paper.  I hope that you like it and will give it a try.

There is also a video tutorial for this project on my YouTube channel

Materials

1 sheet of A4 card stock in shaded spruce (this will make two cards)
1 piece of gold foil 4" x 2 3/4", 2 pieces 7/8" x 2 3/4", 2 pieces 1/4" x 2 1/2"
1 piece of dsp 3 3/4" x 2 1/2", 2 pieces 5/8" x 2 1/2"
Scrap of gold foil to punch out 4 sprigs
1 piece of whisper white 4" x 2 3/4" for the inside
Scrap of whisper white for the sentiment
Perfectly Plaid stamp set
Shaded spruce ink
Sprig Punch
Everyday Label Punch
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Scoreboard
Ruler
Pencil

Instructions

Using the A4 card stock cut at 8 1/4" x 5 3/4" (this is almost in half with a tiny sliver left over). On the short side score at 2 7/8" and then fold and burnish the card stock.

With the card in the folded position put the short edge to the top and make a tiny mark with your scoring tool at 1/2" and 2 3/8", then rotate 180 degrees and repeat at the other end.

Then with the long side at the top of the scoreboard and the card still in the folded position, make a tiny mark at 1 1/2" from either end, then rotate 180 degrees and repeat on the other side.

With a pencil, join the marks together to make a grid on the card as lightly as you can as these will have to be erased later. Then make a small mark 1/4" on either side of the vertical lines, then join these marks to the intersection of the grid lines, this forms the V shape for the cut out.  Carefully remove the V shape (see template).
Remove all the pencil marks.

Adhere the gold foil to the front of the card and put the dsp on top of that leaving a small border all the way around.  Adhere the two 1/4" pieces in place between the V shaped cut outs.

Stamp a sentiment to the inside piece of whisper white and then adhere inside the card.  Stamp the sentiment on the scrap of card and punch out with the Everyday label Punch.  Punch 4 sprigs out of gold foil with the Sprig Punch and adhere to the back of the sentiment with glue.  Then add dimensionals and arrange on the front of the card.

There you go, an unusual Christmas card, I hope that you will give it a try, I'd love to see your pictures.

Happy crafting,

Karen XX
