Anything With Wings Challenge Card

Hi Everyone,

This card was made for a swap challenge by Louise Wheeler (Cherry Flower Creations), pop on over to her Facebook page and see the other entries.

Materials

5" x 7" card base (I've used a pre scored card base but you could use a 7" x 10" piece of whisper white and fold in half to make a landscape card)
Accented Blooms stamp set
Butterfly Gala stamp set
2019-2021 in colour inks
Stampin'Up! blender pen
2019-2021 faceted gems
Butterfly duet punch
Multipurpose adhesive

Instructions

For this challenge I have decided to colour in the image from the Accented Blooms stamp set with a blender pen.  I don't have the Blends as the moment so I have used the ink pads with the blender pen (add a little of the ink to the nib of the pen and colour your image, pick up more ink as needed. When you have finished, scribble on some scrap paper until the colour disappears, you can then change colours as required).  For the central work image I have stamped this with rococco rose ink and then stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card with the same colour.

I then stamped four sets of butterflies in each of the following colours: rococco rose, seaside spray, pretty peacock and terracotta tile on white card and punched them out with the butterfly duet punch.

I folded the wings back and added adhesive to the back of each butterfly and arranged them on the card front then added a faceted gem to the bodies of the larger butterflies.

Swaps and challenges are great fun, why don't you have a go?

Happy crafting,

Karen XX
