Today I am making a gift box for a large bar of chocolate, this particular one is 180gms but they are not all the same size, so check the size of the bar against the measurements before cutting so you won't be disappointed.
Materials
1 piece of card stock 8 1/4" x 9" (I have used Old Olive)
Multipurpose glue
Trio punch
1 piece of designer series paper 3 1/4" x 7 1/4"
Scrap of old olive card stock for the tag
Tag topper punch
Old olive ink
Perfectly plaid stamp set
Scraps of gold foil
Large Letter dies (these are retired but you could print something out on your computer or stamp another sentiment)
Piece of ribbon (Old olive and pretty peacock)
Glue dots
Mini dimensionals
Instructions
On the long side score at 1/2", 8", 8 1/2"
On the short side, score at 1/2", 4", 4 1/2" and 8"
Cut the tabs as shown in the picture below and fold and burnish all the score lines. I have accidentally taken the picture before removing the front piece that the lid folds into. Remove the section between the two tabs on the front edge of the box. Round the edges of the lid with the trio punch.
Add glue to the 1/4" tab on the long side and fold over and secure to make the box shape, then fold in the flaps at the bottom and glue in place.
Add the dsp to the front of the box and decorate as required. I have used large letter dies to cut out my husbands name, but you could decorate it in lots of ways depending on the recipient.
Make a tag with the tag topper punch and round off the bottom corners with the trio punch. Stamp a sentiment in old olive ink and then add the tag to the ribbon and tie around the box.
