Pretty Prints Card - Stampin' Birds Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

The Birds are hopping today and showcasing what is currently on their craft tables. I've been playing with the Pretty Prints dsp and the Natures Prints stamp set and die bundle. Whenever I get a new die set, I like to just cut them all out to see what they look like so I thought I would add them to some pretty paper and make a quick card.

Materials

1 piece of thick basic white 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of dsp 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
Scraps of white for die cutting
Bermuda Bay ink
Natures Prints stamp set
Natural Prints dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Blue Adhesive Backed Gems
Trimmer
Bone Folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side score the thick white card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the dsp to the card front.

Stamp some flowers, leaves and a sentiment using Bermuda Bay ink. Die cut these as well as a selection of leaves and flowers in basic white and a label large enough for the sentiment you have stamped.

Add dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and adhere to the card front in the centre.

Arrange the leaves and flowers around the sentiment, tucking them in underneath and adhering them in place.

Add some gems to the centre of the flowers and the label.

I haven't stamped a sentiment on the inside but I have used the splodges, just for a bit of interest.

This is a really quick and easy card and great for trying out new die cuts to see how they look.

Summer Shadows Splendid Day Triple Step Card - Fun Fold Friday

 Hi Everyone,

For Fun Fold Friday this week, I have made a Triple Step Card using the lovely Summer Shadows dies and the Splendid Day designer series paper with a label and sentiment from the Natures Prints bundle. You could make this style card for any occasion and use any dsp and die sets to change it up and make something that looks different every time.

Materials

1 piece of thick white card 11" x 6"
1 piece of basic white 4 1/8" square, 1 piece 3 5/8" square, 1 piece 3 1/8" square and a scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of dsp 5 3/4" x 2 3/4", 1 piece 1 1/4" x 5 3/4", 1 piece 3/4" x 5 3/4" (for the card base)
1 piece of dsp 3 7/8" square, 1 piece 3 3/8" square, 1 piece 2 7/8" square
Scraps of flirty flamingo, granny apple green and basic white for the die cuts
Memento black ink
Natures Prints stamp set
Natural Prints dies
Summer Shadows dies
Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine
Iridescent rhinestones
Iridescent pearls
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Take Your Pick tool
Bone Folder

Instructions

On the long side score the thick white at 3", 6", 7 1/2", 9" and 10" and fold and burnish concertina style to make the card base.

Add the dsp layers to the card base and all the mats.

Die cut as many flowers and sets of leaves as you want, I've done an assortment of sizes as you can see. This is a two part die set so you layer up the flowers and leaves to give definition, I used a fine tip glue applicator on the intricate dies - you could use our adhesive sheets if you wanted to.

Stamp a sentiment and die cut with the label from Natural Prints.

Adhere the mat layers to the card base starting with the largest and make sure it sits in the fold and is central. It's then quite easy to line up the two smaller mats so that they lie central to the one behind.

Arrange the flowers and leaves and add the sentiment to the front panel. You can add as many or as few as you like, I've just put a couple of flowers on each layer but it's up to you, it's your card. Add rhinestones and pearls to the flower centres for a bit of added sparkle.

I think this is a lovely card and I will be making lots more using other sets, I hope that you like it too.

Please pop over and see what Donna and Victoria have made too.
