Glue Holder

Hi Everyone,

A quick and simple tutorial today. I've made a holder to stand my glue in on my desk. By storing it upside down, it ensures its always ready to go when I'm crafting. The original idea came from Gaynor Boyce but I've changed the measurements for the decoration on this one so that the designer series paper wraps all the way around.  I hope you like it, give it a go, I'd love to see pictures of your versions.

Materials

A piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/2" x 8 1/4" (any colour)
A piece of designer series paper measuring 1 7/8" x 7" (I've used Botanical Butterflies)
Adhesive
Scoreboard
Bone Folder
Scissors
1 3/8" punch

Instructions

1.  Score the cardstock, on the short side at 1 1/2" at both ends and on the long side at 2", 4", 6" and 8"

2.  Fold and burnish all of the score lines
3.  Remove the top and bottom skinny rectangle and then make a tab with the centre one (see picture below). Cut up all of the score lines to first score line on the top and bottom edges (see picture below).

4. Using the 1 3/8" punch (I only have a scalloped one) punch a hole in the centre rectangle at the side of the tab (see picture above).
5. Using a strong adhesive glue the tab to the middle section at the opposite side to form a box and then fold in the sides to seal the box.
6.  Fold the dsp around the box and pinch at the corners, then score the creases with the bone folder, using adhesive stick the dsp around the box leaving a small increment at the top and the bottom (see picture below)

There you go! Simple wasn't it.

Happy crafting
