Art Gallery Winter Birthday Card - Stamp Around UK Video Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am video hopping with the Stamp Around UK group and the theme is 'Winter Birthdays'. I struggled a bit with this at first but then thought that I would have a play with the new Fine Art Floral bundle in the January - June Mini Catalogue which goes live in just a few days time. Check out the video tutorial below to watch how I made my card:

Instructions

On the long side, score the highland heather card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

On 1 piece of whisper white, stamp the leaf image in the top right corner and the bottom left corner using Versamark ink.  Sprinkle with silver embossing powder and then heat set the images.

The floral images in this stamp set are two step stamping, so stamp the more filled in image first in the  lighter colour so that the flower sits on top of the stem you have embossed. Repeat at the other corner.  Then stamp over it with the darker colour as you can see in the picture.  It is really easy to line this up but it really doesn't matter if it is a little bit off, you won't be able to tell, it won't spoil the image.  I then stamped the two small floral images along the bottom to fill up some of the space in highland heather and then gorgeous grape as before.

Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of whisper white and then die cut using the label die from the set, I love this scalloped edge. Then adhere the sentiment to the scrap of highland heather and cut around it quite closely with the paper snips to give it a border.

Stamp a sentiment on the remaining piece of whisper white and then adhere this to the inside of the card. I've also added a floral image on the inside too.

Adhere the silver foil mat to the card front leaving a small border all the way around the edges and then adhere the stamped layer to that, again leaving a border all around.

Add dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and fix to the card front in the top left corner.

There you are, a pretty winter birthday card.  You can also stamp the images and die cut them and add them on dimensionals to the card front if you like for a slightly different look.

I hope that you like my card, please click on the video link above to watch the tutorial and to get the links to the other projects in the hop, there is lots of inspiration there.
