Bottled Happiness - Creative Colour Challenge #51

 Hi Everyone,

This week I'm having a go at Creative Colour Challenge #51 on my friend Victoria's blog, I love the bright colours she has chosen this week. I've just got the Bottled Happiness stamp set so thought I would have a play with that too.

Materials

1 piece of shaded spruce card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of real red card 4" x 5 3/4"
1 piece of daffodil delight card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 3 5/8" x 5 1/8"
Shaded spruce ink
Daffodil delight ink
Real red ink
Bottled Happiness stamp set
Brushed Brass Butterflies
Trimmer
Bone Folder
Multipurpose adhesive

Instructions

First of all I stamped the bottle on the basic white card with the shaded spruce ink.

Then I added the main flower bunch with daffodil delight and then with the second step stamp, I went over the top in real red.  They line up really easily - this was my first attempt.

Then I stamped the sentiment at the side of the bottle and adhered this layer to the daffodil delight, then the real red and then to the card front.  Add some of the butterflies.

On the remaining piece of basic white, I stamped a sentiment and some leaf stems.

Why don't you have a go at one of Victoria's challenges too, they are great fun, the address is above with the colour palette.

1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", scraps for punching and die cuts
1 piece of Tea Boutique dsp 3 1/8" x 5 7/8"
Bermuda Bay ink
Crushed Curry ink
Shaded Spruce ink
Sending Smiles Bundle
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone Folder
Brushed Brass Butterflies
Decorative Circle Punch
Multipurpose Adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side score the bermuda bay card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the strip of dsp to the centre of the card front.

Punch out a decorative circle using basic white card and then stamp two stems and some leaves in shaded spruce. Adhere this to the centre of the card front.

Stamp two flower heads using bermuda bay and crushed curry on some scrap and then die cut and add to the stems on the circle using dimensionals.

Stamp a sentiment and die cut with the appropriate label size, add to the card front below the circle.

Die cut the word in a scrap of bermuda bay and the outline in basic white, then layer them both together and add to the card front above the circle.

Add some butterflies to the card front and the remaining piece of basic white to the inside to write your message.

I hope that you like my card, why don't you have a go with these colours and enter Victoria's challenge too.

Tasteful Touches - Creative Colour Challenge #31

 Hi Everyone,

Today I thought I would have a go at my friend Victoria's Creative Colour Challenge #31 with Sahara Sand, Gorgeous Grape and Pear Pizzazz. I thought I'd get out one of the retiring stamp sets and dies too so I have teamed the colours with Tasteful Touches stamp set and the Tasteful Labels dies and done a little masking. Let me show you what I did:

If you want to have a go at the challenge too, pop over to

Creative Colour Challenge

Materials

1 piece of sahara sand card 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of pear pizzazz card 3 7/8" x 5 5/"
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 3 5/8" x 5 3/8", scrap for the sentiment
Scrap of gorgeous grape card for the banner
Gorgeous grape ink
Pear pizzazz ink
Sahara sand ink
Tasteful Touches stamp set
Colour & Contour stamp set
Tasteful Label dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Paper snips
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side score the sahara sand card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the pear pizzazz layer to the card front.

Using the smaller piece of white card stamp a flower in the left hand corner using gorgeous grape ink. Stamp the image on several post it notes, making sure the image is on the sticky end and then cut them out to use as masks.  Cover the flower you have already stamped and then stamp another one but stamp off first so that it is paler and covers part of the mask. Then add a mask to that image and stamp another one next to it, full strength, cover it and then stamp another one, stamping off first. By doing this you will get an image that looks as though the flowers are layered up behind each other which gives the illusion of dimension.

While the masks are all in place, stamp the leaves in pear pizzazz around them, then peel away the masks.

Then, using the splatter stamp from Colour & Contour and sahara sand ink, stamped off, randomly stamp over all the white space for some texture. Adhere this layer to the card front.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of white and then die cut.  I've also die cut a banner using gorgeous grape card and then cut it in two pieces.  Adhere the pieces on either side of the label and then add this to the card front using dimensionals.

Stamp a sentiment and add a flower to the remaining white layer and add to the inside of the card.

I hope that you like my card and consider having a go at Victoria's weekly colour challenges too.
