Adorable Owls Flip Front Fun Fold Card - Share it on a Sunday

 Hi Everyone,

I thought I would make a cheery card today using these very cute little owls and you know I love a fun fold card. I'm not sure what this one is really called, but I've called it a flip front. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of bermuda bay card 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", 1 piece 3" x 4", 1 piece 1 1/2" x 5"
1 piece if basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", scraps for the stamping and sentiment
1 piece of dsp 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 2 pieces 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Adorable Owls stamp set
Early Espresso ink
Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends
Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends
Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends
Decorative Circle Punch
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose Adhesive

Instructions

On the long side score the card at 5 7/8" and fold and burnish to make a tent fold card.

Score the 1 1/2" x 5" strip at 1" on the long side and fold and burnish.

Adhere this strip to the inside back of the card at about the half way point so that the score line is just outside the card - this will allow the strip to fold over the top of the card when closed.

Stamp a sentiment on the basic white card piece and add to the inside of the card so that it covers the 1" end of the strip.

Adhere the dsp layers to the front and fold over the strip so that it is laying across the card front.  Adhere 1 of the dsp layers to the bermuda bay mat and adhere in place (add the glue to the strip, not the mat layer.  Add the remaining dsp layer on the reverse of this piece to cover up the strip.

Stamp two owls on some scrap and colour in with the Stampin' Blends and then punch them out with the Decorative Circle Punch.  Adhere one in place on the front flap and then one underneath on the card front as a surprise.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of white and trim it down, add this to the front underneath the owl.

Adorable Owls - Dandy Designs Front Flip Fun Fold - Stamp'n'Hop Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

The theme for this hop is 'Sale-A-Bration and I wanted to play with the Adorable Owls and the Dandy Designs dsp for my card.

Materials

1 piece of fresh freesia card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 3 7/8" x 2 7/8", scraps for stamping
1 piece of dsp 3 5/8" x 3", 1 piece 3 5/8" x 2 5/8"
Adorable Owls stamp set
Stylish Shapes dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends
Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends
Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends
Memento Black ink
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose adhesive

Instructions

On the long side score the card at 4 1/8" and BEFORE you fold, make a mark at 2 3/4" down from the top of the score, this is the cut mark. Cut this top portion off the card front and then fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the larger piece of white to the inside of the card and the smaller one on the front flap. Then add the dsp, I've only covered part of the inside to just below the top of the front flap so that it leaves space to write a message. I've used the reverse of the dsp for the piece on the front of the card.

Using the card that you cut from the front, die cut the 2nd largest square.

Stamp the owl image and colour with the Blends and then die cut with the next size down in the squares. Layer them up together and then adhere the bottom half of this to the card front as centrally as you can.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap and then die cut with the smallest of the banner dies.

I'm going to make more of these in different colours to use as Customer Thank You cards at the end of the month, I think they will be cute.
