Daisy Lane Card - Retiring List - Stamping With Friends

 Hi Everyone,

The theme for this Blog Hop is the 'Retiring List'. The new annual Stampin' Up catalogue will be out soon and some of our old favourites will be retiring. One of my favourites is the Daisy Lane stamp set and the Daisy Punch and I've teamed it with three of the retiring 2020-2022 In Colours too to make a pretty card.

Materials

1 piece of just jade card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", 1 piece 3/4" x 5 5/8"
2 pieces of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 1/2" x 5 5/8"
Scraps of bumblebee card for the flowers
Just jade ink
Bumblebee ink
Misty Moonlight ink

Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Take your pick tool
Brushed Brass Butterflies

Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side score the just jade card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

On one piece of the white card stamp the leaves across the width of the card and going up and down (see finished card). I looked and decided where I would add my strip going across and used that as my starting point for stamping, the strip will cover the bottom of the stems and any cross over that you have.  I also stamped the leaves down one edge of the remaining piece of white card for the inside of the card and added it to the card.

On the bumblebee scraps, stamp 6 daisies and then punch them out. Layer them up one on top of another to make double daisy flowers. You can curl the petals with a bone folder or just pull the petals up like I have done to give some dimension.

Adhere the just jade strip to the stamped layer for the front and then adhere that to the card front. Stamp the sentiment to the right hand end of the white strip using misty moonlight ink and then adhere it to the just jade strip.

Arrange the daisies over the other end of this strip using dimensionals. Then sprinkle some brass butterflies to complete the card.
