Ink, Stamp, Share Blog Hop - Celebration Card

Hi Everyone,

Today I am taking part in a Blog Hop with the Ink, Stamp, Share group and the theme was 'Celebration' so I have chosen to make a wedding card. I have embossed the design on the card to make it a bit more 'special', let me show you how I did it.

Materials

1 piece of thick Whisper White card stock 5 7/8" x 11 3/4" (full length of A4)
1 piece of silver foil card 5 3/4" square
1 piece of Seaside Spray card stock 5 1/2" square
Forever Blossoms stamp set
Seaside Spray ink
Versamark ink
Clear embossing powder
Heat Tool
Silver edged ribbon
Multipurpose adhesive
Pearl basic jewels
Trimmer

Instructions

Score the thick whisper white at 5 7/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Arrange the stamps on a large block so that you can stamp the floral image as well as the words at the same time.  As it is a large stamp, take the ink and Versamark to the stamp rather than the other way around.

Ink up the stamp with the Versamark first and then with your coloured ink and stamp on the piece of seaside spray card. Sprinkle clear embossing powder generously all over the image and shake off the excess.  Heat set the image with the heat tool and leave to cool.  The card might buckle a bit with the heat but just put a couple of clear blacks on it while it cools.

Then stamp a sentiment and a small floral image on the inside of the card if required, I have used the same method and clear embossed the image and the sentiment. Leave this to cool with a weight on top if the card has buckled.

Add a strip of ribbon around the left hand side of the stamped piece of card and secure on the reverse with sticky tape.  Adhere this layer to the silver foil layer and then adhere that to the card front.

Tie a small piece of ribbon around the mid point of the strip and tie in a knot and trim off the ends at an angle to stop them fraying.

Add small pearls to the centre of the flowers and the card is finished.
