Hues of Happiness Get Well Card

 Hi Everyone,

I was asked to make a Get Well Card recently and thought that I would use the Hues of Happiness dsp and the Blossoming Happiness dies. I added in the Silver & Gold dsp which is FREE during Sale-a-Bration and some of the In Colour dsp stack too, I even decorated the envelope. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of thick basic white card 5 3/4" x 11 1/2"
1 piece of gold striped dsp 5 1/2" square
1 piece of parakeet party striped dsp 5 1/2" square
Scraps of Hues of Happiness to die cut/fussy cut flowers
Blossoming Happiness dies
Hand Penned stamp set
Versamark ink
Heat Tool
Metallics Embossing Powder
Brushed Brass Butterflies
Take Your Pick Tool
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Paper Snips
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder

Instructions

Score the thick white card on the long side at 5 3/4" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Using the lattice/trellis die  from Blossoming Happiness dies, lay it on the top right of the card front at an angle, we want to cut this diagonally across the top section of the card.

Lay the gold striped paper in the paper trimmer, point to point so that you can make a diagonal cut in half, repeat with the parakeet party dsp.

Adhere the gold striped paper to the bottom left of the card front, adhere the parakeet party dsp to the top right on the inside of the card so that the colour can be seen through the holes in the die cut.

Die cut a selection of flowers and leaves (or fussy cut if you prefer) and arrange them across the diagonal edge of the gold striped dsp. Add the larger flowers on dimensionals and then tuck the others in around them using multipurpose adhesive.

Add a couple of flowers to the inside on the parakeet party dsp.

Stamp a sentiment using Versamark on to a scrap of white card - I had a label from a retired set on my desk, so I used that. Sprinkle with gold embossing powder and set with the Heat Tool.  Add the label to the card front using dimensionals.

Add some of the partial flower images to the bottom corner of the envelope.

Sprinkle some butterflies around the lattice and flowers and the card is complete.
