Two Slimline Gorgeous Posies Get Well Cards

 Hi Everyone,

When I am feeling a bit fed up and don't know what to make, I like to just stamp my own design on a piece of card and I just love the Gorgeous Posies stamp set. I had a half a sheet of basic white on my craft desk, so I got out my inks and off I went.  I decided to try a couple of slimline cards with the results.

2 1/4" circle punch

Instructions

Stamp a design on your basic white card stock. I used blushing bride for the flowers and just randomly stamped them all over.  Then I added the flower centre using rococo rose ink, some 'twiggy bits' and 'splodges' in crumb cake wherever there was a space.  You don't have to think too much about it, just stamp, it doesn't matter if it overlaps, just go for it and see where it takes you.

Score the thick whisper white at 3 1/4" on the short side and fold and burnish to make the two card bases.

Adhere the soft suede layer to the card front leaving an equal border.

Cut the stamped design into two pieces lengthwise and then trim each piece down a little until you are happy with the border of soft suede. As you can see from the picture one of my cards has a bigger border of soft suede than the other. Adhere to the card front.

Punch out two soft sued 2 1/4" circles and two 2" white circles.  Stamp the sentiment in blushing bride in the centre of the circle and then add some 'splodges', I stamped off once and then stamped to make it lighter.  Layer the two circles together and add to the card front with dimensionals.

Make a bow with the blushing bride twine and add to the sentiment layer and then add some bling with some rhinestones.

Two pretty slimline cards to cheer someone up, I hope that you like them. Why don't you give this a try? It's fun.

  2. I really like a lot of the cards you put out, but it would be nicer to have larger pictures of them to see as well. Can't really see really well what it looks like w such a small pic.
    Thanks!
