Scrappy Technique - Inspired By Socks!!

 Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a card inspired by a pair of socks haha. I was putting some washing away and looked at these socks and thought - what a great colour combination - then I remembered a technique I had seen Bruno Bertucci do and this is the result.  There is a video tutorial below, please click on the link

1 piece of basic white card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
2" circle of basic white
2 1/4" circle of gorgeous grape
Gorgeous grape ink
2" circle punch
2 1/4" circle punch
Many Mates stamp set

Simply scored

Paper snips

Instructions

Chop up some strips of coloured card so that they are sort of long thin triangles and then lay them down on the basic black card in a pattern that you like. I have alternated the widths at the top and the bottom but you can do it however you like.  Adhere them in place and don't worry about them over hanging the edge, you can trim those off later.  When you have finished, turn it over and trim off the excess.

On the long side, score the coastal cabana card stock at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the black decorated layer to the card front.

Stamp a sentiment on the 2" white circle and another one on the piece of white for the inside of the card.  Layer the two circles together and add to the card front with dimensionals.

I hope that you like my card and will give it a try. Inspiration can come from anywhere, give it a try.
