Wishing For Spring Gatefold Card - Share it on a Sunday

 Hi Everyone,

This last few weeks has been so grey and murky that I felt the need to make a spring like card for our Share it on a Sunday project this week. I chose the theme 'Gatefold Card' because fun folds are my favourite type of cards to make.  I've used lovely cheery coastal cabana and bermuda bay with a hint of soft sea foam. Let me show you how I made it and don't forget to click on the links below and pop over and see what Donna and Victoria have made this week too.

Materials

1 piece of coastal cabana card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", 1 piece 2 3/4" x 4 1/4"
1 piece of whisper white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 2 1/4" x 3 1/2" and a scrap for the sentiment
Bermuda bay ink
Soft sea foam ink
4 pieces of coastal cabana dsp from the Brights  6 x 6 paper stack 1 7/8" x 5 5/8"
Timeless Tulips stamp set
Many Mates stamp set
Basic rhinestones
Classic label punch
Trimmer
Bone folder
Mini dimensionals
Multipurpose adhesive

Instructions

On the long side, score the card stock at 2 1/16" from either side and fold and burnish to make the card base, this is your basic gatefold card, the edges should meet in the centre of the card.

Adhere the 4 dsp panels to the 'gates', I have used one design on the inside and the reverse of that design on the fronts.

On the large piece of whisper white, stamp the sentiment in the centre and add one of the tulips to the lower left, then adhere this piece inside the card.

On the other piece of whisper white, stamp the largest tulip in bermuda bay and then add the stem and two leaves in soft sea foam  in the centre with the stem and leaves just going off the piece.

Adhere this piece centrally to the remaining piece of coastal cabana card, there is quite a wide border around it.

Stamp the sentiment on the scrap of whisper white and punch out with the classic label punch, add this to the flower using mini dimensionals.

Add adhesive to the left hand half of the flower mats and adhere to the left hand gate in the centre of the card as shown in the picture.

Add a few rhinestones for a bit of bling and there you are, a quick fun fold card to cheer someone up on these miserable grey winter days.
