Today's card was one I made for a challenge in a Facebook group that I belong to. The challenge was to make a card using Best Dressed dsp, Varied Vases stamp set, highland heather and purple posy and this is the card that I made.
Materials
1 piece of thick whisper white 8 1/4" x 5 7/8" for the card base
1 piece of highland heather card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of whisper white 3 3/4" x 5 3/8" for stamping
Scrap of best dressed dsp
Varied vases stamp set
Memento black ink
Purple posy ink or blends ( don't have blends so I used a blender pen and ink)
Vase Builder punch
2019-2021 In colour faceted dots
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Instructions
Score the card base at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish, then adhere the highland heather mat to the card front as centrally as you can.
Stamp the outline to the shelf at the bottom of the whisper white layer and then stamp the three vases so that they are sitting on the shelf. Stamp the outlines of the flowers inside the three vases, don't worry about the stems, they will be covered by the dsp.
I don't have the purple posy blends, so I have used the ink pad and a blender pen to colour in the flowers and the shelf.
Punch out the three vases from the scrap of dsp and add them over the stamped vases adhering with a dimensional.
Adhere this layer to the highland heather layer on the card front and then add some faceted dots to decorate.
There you are, a pretty, simple card. Why don't you have a go at some challenges in the Facebook groups and see what you come up with. It's a great way of making you think outside the box and get your creative juices flowing.
Happy crafting,
